A decade of trust, innovation, and unwavering commitment to the Indonesian online gaming community — this is the story behind hobi88.
hobi88 was founded with a singular conviction: that Indonesian players deserve a world-class online betting and gaming platform that speaks their language, accepts their preferred payment methods, and respects their culture. From our earliest days as a modest sportsbook serving football fans in Jakarta and Surabaya, we have grown into one of the most recognized names in Indonesia's online gaming landscape — serving millions of active members across every province, from Medan in the north of Sumatra to Makassar in the east of Sulawesi.
The name hobi88 reflects our philosophy directly. Hobi means "hobby" or "passion" in Indonesian — a reminder that entertainment and enjoyment should always be at the heart of the gaming experience. The number 88 carries auspicious meaning across many Asian cultures, representing prosperity and good fortune. Together, hobi88 stands for a platform where passion meets opportunity in a safe, trusted, and transparent environment.
We operate under international licensing standards and apply rigorous security protocols to every transaction and interaction on the platform. Our players' financial data, personal information, and gaming activity are protected by 256-bit SSL encryption and managed in strict compliance with international data protection best practices. When you play at hobi88, you can focus entirely on the game — knowing that the platform behind you is one of the most secure in the region.
hobi88 launched as a focused sports betting platform catering primarily to Indonesian football fans following BRI Liga 1 and EPL fixtures.
We partnered with Evolution Gaming and Ezugi to introduce a full live dealer casino lobby, bringing authentic Baccarat and Blackjack tables to Indonesian players for the first time on our platform.
The hobi88 slots library launched with over 500 titles from Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, and Microgaming. Togel (Indonesia's traditional numbers lottery) markets were added following strong player demand.
A complete platform redesign prioritized mobile performance, enabling seamless play on Android and iOS without requiring any app download — a critical improvement for Indonesia's predominantly mobile-first player base.
hobi88 introduced its four-tier VIP loyalty program and expanded payment support to include OVO, DANA, GoPay, ShopeePay, and LinkAja alongside all major Indonesian bank transfers.
hobi88 surpassed 2.5 million registered members — a milestone that reflects a decade of building trust, improving the product, and putting Indonesian players first in every decision we make.
At hobi88, our values are not slogans on a wall. They are the operational principles behind every product decision, every customer interaction, and every rupiah processed through our platform.
Trust is the foundation of everything at hobi88. We publish accurate RTPs, process withdrawals transparently, and never manipulate game outcomes. Every promise we make to our players is a commitment we intend to keep.
hobi88 was designed from the ground up for Indonesian players. Every payment method, every customer support channel, every promotional calendar — from Idul Fitri bonuses to Indonesian Independence Day (17 August) specials — is crafted with the Indonesian market at the center.
Responsible gaming is not an afterthought at hobi88 — it is embedded into the platform architecture. Deposit limits, session timers, self-exclusion tools, and transparent house-edge data are all available to every player, free of charge, at any time.
Slow withdrawals and platform downtime are the most common complaints about online gambling platforms in Indonesia. hobi88 has invested heavily in infrastructure to maintain 99.6% uptime and process the majority of withdrawal requests within a matter of hours.
All games on hobi88 are sourced from certified providers whose RNG systems are independently audited. Bonus terms are written in plain language. Our fee structure has no hidden charges. What you see is exactly what you get — every time.
The Indonesian online gaming market evolves rapidly. hobi88 is committed to staying ahead — whether that means integrating new game studios, expanding e-wallet options, or improving the mobile experience for players in cities like Yogyakarta, Palembang, and Makassar.
Indonesia is an extraordinarily diverse nation — 270 million people spread across 17,000 islands, speaking hundreds of regional languages, following different religious calendars, and supporting fiercely different football clubs. hobi88 respects and celebrates that diversity. Our promotional campaigns acknowledge Ramadhan, Idul Fitri, Nyepi, Imlek, Waisak, and Indonesian Independence Day (17 August). Our customer support team includes native Indonesian-speaking agents available around the clock, because we understand that nuance matters when someone needs help quickly.
We are particularly proud of our football coverage. Indonesia's passion for bandar bola (football betting) is unlike anywhere else in Southeast Asia. When Timnas Indonesia (the Garuda national team) competes in the AFF Cup (Piala AFF) or FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the atmosphere across Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and beyond is electric — and hobi88 is right there with our players, offering the most competitive odds and the deepest in-play markets available in the Indonesian market. Our BRI Liga 1 coverage is equally comprehensive, with odds available for every match from the opening weekend to the final-day relegation battles.
Beyond football, hobi88 has built a reputation for excellence in live casino, slot games, and togel (Indonesia's traditional numbers lottery). Our slot lobby curated from Pragmatic Play, Pocket Games Soft, and NetEnt consistently features the highest-rated titles — including the slot gacor (high-payout slot) selections that Indonesian players trust. Our live casino streams from Evolution Gaming and Ezugi run 24 hours a day with professional dealers, and our togel draw schedules offer multiple daily results with competitive payout multipliers. Whatever form of entertainment brings you to hobi88, we have invested to make it the best version of that experience available in Indonesia.
Looking forward, hobi88 will continue to expand its game library, deepen its payment ecosystem, and strengthen its responsible gaming infrastructure. We believe that sustainable growth in the Indonesian online gaming market depends on platforms that players can genuinely trust over the long term — and that trust is something hobi88 earns every day, one player interaction at a time.
All balances, deposits, and withdrawals are handled entirely in Indonesian Rupiah. No currency conversion fees, no surprise FX charges — just straightforward transactions in the currency you use every day.
BCA, BRI, BNI, Mandiri, CIMB Niaga, OCBC NISP, Bank Danamon, BSI, OVO, DANA, GoPay, ShopeePay, and LinkAja are all supported — covering virtually every payment preference across the Indonesian market.
Every game in the hobi88 lobby is sourced from internationally certified studios with independently audited RNG systems. Published RTP percentages are accurate, and game outcomes are never manipulated.
Our customer support team is available around the clock with native Indonesian-speaking agents. Whether you are in Jakarta or Jayapura, across WIB, WITA, or WIT time zones, help is always one message away.
Self-exclusion, deposit limits, session reminders, and loss tracking tools are available to every player at no cost. hobi88 treats responsible gaming as a platform feature, not a compliance checkbox.
From Bronze through to Platinum, hobi88's VIP program rewards consistent players with cashback bonuses, priority withdrawals, dedicated account managers, and exclusive seasonal promotions tailored to Indonesian culture.
The hobi88 platform is engineered for mobile-first access. No app download required — play seamlessly on any Android or iOS browser with the same full-feature experience as desktop.
Every page, every transaction, and every data transfer on hobi88 is protected by bank-grade 256-bit SSL encryption. Your personal and financial data is never exposed.
From BRI Liga 1 local derbies to Champions League finals, hobi88 offers 1X2, Asian Handicap, Over/Under, BTTS, Correct Score, and mix parlay accumulators across 40+ leagues.
Odds update in real time as matches unfold. Place bets during live football, basketball, badminton, and e-sports events — including MPL Mobile Legends and PUBG Mobile tournaments popular across Indonesia.
